Due to demand, the existing circular economy store Banknote in Daugavpils has now become a Banknote XL concept store, increasing the space and increasing the range of pre-owned and verified products on offer by two times. The store will continue to be located at its familiar address – Saules iela 55, on the corner of Saules iela and Viestura iela. 

 

The decision to open the first Banknote XL concept store in Daugavpils was based on the successful performance of the store and its strategic location in the city centre, where there is high traffic of people and therefore high interest in purchasing various types of goods.  

 

As before, the store will offer customers the opportunity to buy pre-owned and new goods with a guarantee, and to sell items that are no longer needed but are still in working order, as well as to receive financial services.  

 

"The opening of the Banknote XL concept store in Daugavpils is a strategically important step, as we see a high demand for Banknote services in the Latgale region. The spacious premises will allow us to expand and diversify our product offer, i.e., instead of 1500 items, we will now offer around 3000 items," explains Didzis Ādmīdiņš, Chairman of the Management Board of DelfinGroup.  

 

The new premises will offer a wide range of electronics, computers, mobile phones, tools, household appliances, as well as new and refurbished jewellery to the residents of Daugavpils. These goods will be available for purchase and for sale on-site, freeing up space at home and earning extra money. By far the most popular category of goods in the Daugavpils branch is mobile phones.  

 

D. Ādmīdiņš also adds that the development of the Banknote network in the Latgale region indirectly promotes the development of the circular economy, including by emphasising the long-term benefits of purchasing slightly pre-owned goods. For example, by choosing a pre-owned good, better quality can be bought. "If you have a budget of 100 euros, you can buy a high-quality, slightly pre-owned product from a good manufacturer that is known for durability and long service life, or you can use that money to buy a new product, but from a manufacturer offering lower quality. It is a story about sustainable consumption and resource use," emphasises D. Ādmīdiņš.  

 

This is the second XL concept store in Latvia, with the first having opened last year in Riga, Imanta, with an area of almost 300 m2 and more than 4500 new and pre-owned goods in one place. In total, the Banknote network has more than 90 branches in Latvia and Lithuania, as well as an online store with 50 000 goods in one place. Banknote offers a guarantee of up to 2 years for the goods sold.
