AS DelfinGroup is expanding its management team in preparation for an initial public share offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq Riga Stock Exchange. Former Finance Director and Board Member, Kristaps Bergmanis, will focus on investor relations and the IPO process, and from now on the Finance Director’s duties will be carried out by financial industry professional, Aldis Umblejs.

According to AS DelfinGroup Chairman of the Supervisory Board Agris Evertovskis, “The IPO is the priority for the company this year, so we have allocated significant resources to its implementation. We appreciate that much more time and resources must now be devoted to investor relations, and from now on long-standing Board Member and Finance Director Kristaps Bergmanis will fully focus on this. It will lighten the load on other members of the management team, allowing them to focus more on their daily work. From 3 August, all duties of the Finance Director will pass from Kristaps Bergmanis to the new management team member, Aldis Umblejs. Aldis Umblejs is vastly experienced with a wealth of international knowledge. The company's Supervisory Board is confident that these changes will facilitate the successful implementation of DelfinGroup’s ambitious business development strategy.”

Aldis Umblejs possesses good leadership and communication skills, as well as is a highly qualified expert in finance, accounting and tax matters. He has attained the United Kingdom’s certified accountant’s qualification (ACCA) and is a level three candidate for the U.S. CFA Institute's financial analyst programme. Prior to this, he studied at the BA School of Business and Finance and at the Riga Graduate School of Law. He has worked as a finance director and board member for the international fintech company AS Finitera, as a project manager for the international audit company EY, as finance director for SIA Scandagra Latvia, as well as held internal audit-related positions with several other companies.

According to AS DelfinGroup Finance Director Aldis Umblejs, “I will draw on my experience in the fintech sector to help the company progress more rapidly in the realm of automatisation and digitalisation. I will also help the Management Board to maintain steady growth rates and meet the targets of the financial plan, ensuring that the company has access to lower cost financial resources.

Comments by Board Member Kristaps Bergmanis: “Aldis Umblejs joining our team is a major benefit. I believe that Aldis' knowledge and experience will help the company to increase its financial returns, and will provide significant support as we jointly develop further investor relations with the company’s corporate bond investors and investors of our planned IPO, which will be my priority form now on.”
