DelfinGroup and Children's Hospital Foundation jointly strengthen continuing education opportunities for healthcare professionals

DelfinGroup and the Children's Hospital Foundation have a long-standing partnership, which focuses on caring for children's health and supporting the development of healthcare in Latvia. This year, the company is also making a significant contribution to the professional development and international exchange of experience of the staff and caregivers at the Children's Hospital, both to strengthen staff competences in their daily work and to support them in dealing with complex cases.
This support will form the basis of an initiative that will help strengthen the quality of treatment and care in Latvia, especially in situations where specific expertise or non-standard solutions are needed. Attracting foreign specialists will not only enable the provision of the highest level of treatment for specific patients, but also the sharing of experience with Latvian doctors, facilitating the development of local professionals and the transfer of knowledge in the long term.
"Children's Hospital has excellent doctors - knowledgeable, responsible and dedicated. Our task is to help them grow and give them the opportunity to learn from the experience they have accumulated around the world. We are truly grateful to DelfinGroup for their trust and support, which allows us not only to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, but also to invest in the most important thing - the knowledge and experience of our doctors, which directly helps children receive the best possible care," says Liene Dambiņa, Chair of the Children's Hospital Foundation Board.
"Each and every medical and nursing specialist at the Children's Hospital is part of the team that drives the development of paediatrics in Latvia. We value the expansion of continuing education opportunities for our specialists, because in this way we can improve children's healthcare not only at the Children's Hospital, but also in Latvia as a whole. We would like to thank DelfinGroup, a long-standing supporter of the Children's Hospital, for their generous donation, which will allow us to carry out a number of exchange activities," says Zane Straume, Member of the Board of the Children's Hospital.
" We believe that investing in people - in the knowledge, experience and professional development of doctors and nurses - is one of the most sustainable ways to improve healthcare in Latvia. Public health is our shared responsibility and we are pleased to be part of this process."
Since 2018, DelfinGroup has been working with the Children's Hospital Foundation to help implement various initiatives that promote modern, child-centred healthcare. Donations in previous years have included the introduction of a new anaesthetic machine at the Children's Hospital, improved pre-operative care, the development of cardiopulmonary diagnostic infrastructure, and the regular filling of Courage Boxes - a small but significant support for children after medical procedures - with the active participation of employees.
DelfinGroup plans to continue its active involvement in initiatives that promote children's health and strengthen the quality of healthcare in Latvia.
