Latvian financial service company AS DelfinGroup has opened a new branch of Banknote pawn shop network in Valmiera, at Cēsu iela 11, thus expanding the availability of financial services in regions. The new branch is a multifunctional point for the circulation of goods and services, where people can buy and sell pre-owned goods, as well as receive several types of loans.

We are where customers need our financial services

The decision to open another branch in Valmiera was made considering the development dynamics of the city and the high demand for available loan solutions.   The newly opened branch offers various financial services, such as consumer loan or   buy now- pay later service, as well as buying or selling jewellery, mobile phones, computers, power tools and other pre-owned goods. The location of the branch on the central street of Valmiera next to the bus station, makes it easily accessible not only to the locals, but also to people from the region, going about their daily routine. The new branch has spacious and modern premises, free parking is available onsite, and it is close to the public transport stop.

Banknote branch in Valmiera, at Rīgas iela 26, has been there for 11 years and it has become an integral part of the city's financial life. With the opening of another branch, Banknote will be on both banks of the Gauja and therefore expand the circle of residents havingeasy access to modern financial services.

“One of the goals of the development of Banknote branch network is to create a financially more inclusive society on the entire territory of Latvia. Physical access to financial services is usually a particular challenge outside the capital city, especially for the elderly and for those who do not use the internet daily. People need a place to come and receive easy-to-understand and affordable services. Latvian financial service company DelfinGroup is focused on implementing it. This year, four new branches of Banknote have been opened andone branch has moved to larger premises in a more convenient location for customers. We are where the people need our services,” explains Ivars Lamberts, Commercial Director of AS DelfinGroup and the member of the Management board responsible for pawn shop branch network Banknote.

Circular economy for a greener lifestyle

Understanding the benefits of reusing things as a value for the future is being increasingly emphasised at both national and global levels. Promoting this awareness is one of the main goals of developing Banknote branch network. An extensive network of pawn shops throughout the territory of Latvia provides people with the opportunity to easily trade pre-owned items. Reuse of goods or circular economy is both an environmental benefit and an economically advantageous solution. For a person who no longer needs an item, it is an opportunity to get back part of the money spent on the purchase and free up space at home, and for someone else it is an opportunity to buy a necessary item at a lower price. It is an opportunity for both parties to manage their financial resources more efficiently. Giving a second life to an item is also long-term responsible action in terms of natural resources - the item has potential to last longer, hence reducing the production of new goods and disposing of decent and usable things - most often becoming non-recyclable waste. It should be noted that all goods are carefully inspected before being sold in pawn shops and, if necessary, refurbished.

“Every day we see people becoming more responsible and thinking more about the use of both their financial and natural resources. Our task in this process is to be a place that provides the convenient and secure exchange(trade) of items.  Banknote pawn shop network has become one of the leading sales channels of pre-owned and tested goods in Latvia. Banknote online store, in turn, has become one of the fastest growing sales channels of pre-owned goods in Latvia,” says I. Lamberts
