Survey: 48% of people in Latvia know nothing about the circular economy

Circular economy principles help to make materials and items last longer, thus significantly reducing waste. To achieve this, people’s habits and involvement also play an important role, but a survey* conducted by the Latvian fintech company DelfinGroup and Norstat Latvija found that public knowledge of the circular economy is poor – 48% of respondents in Latvia do not know about the circular economy and haven’t even heard of it. DelfinGroup shareholders have approved the annual report for 2022

At the annual general meeting of shareholders of Latvian fintech company DelfinGroup, shareholders decided to approve the company's report for 2022, prepared by the Management Board and reviewed by the Supervisory Board. The report describes 2022 as a year of growth for the company, which met previously set targets and sets ambitious plans for 2023. Read more

Survey: 72% of people in Latvia store outdated items in their households

Although society is increasingly talking about the circular economy, promoting the reuse of things, the overwhelming majority, or 72% of people in Latvia still keep things in their households that have outlived their useful life. Moreover , only 15% of respondents tend to sell such items and 12% – donate them to charities, according to a survey* conducted by Latvian fintech company DelfinGroup. Read more
