DelfinGroup will pay out more than 883 thousand euros in dividends for the second quarter

Latvian fintech company DelfinGroup will pay out more than 883 thousand euros or 0.0195 euros per share in dividends for the second quarter of 2023, according to the decision made at the Extraordinary Meeting of Shareholders on 14 September.


The ex-dividend date for receiving a dividend for the second quarter is 27 September 2023. The dividend will be paid on 29 September.

"DelfinGroup continues to pursue a prudent dividend policy, distributing up to 50% of earnings to its shareholders on a quarterly basis. Thanks to strategic management and a steadily growing business, the dividend from second-quarter earnings increased by 46% during the year. This year, it will be the third dividend payment, bringing the total amount paid to shareholders to 0.0557 euros per share. In total, ten dividend payments have been made in the last two years since the company’s IPO. This means that our investors are receiving a regular return on their investment in the company’s shares," said Aldis Umblejs, Member of the Management Board of DelfinGroup.

A. Umblejs adds that based on the share price on 13 September of 1.35 euros, the dividend yield is 5.5%. "We will continue to work on the company's growth by ensuring regular dividend payments, thus being an attractive company for existing and prospective shareholders."

DelfinGroup continued to deliver solid growth in all business areas in the second quarter of 2023, including developing of the largest circular economy shop chain and the Banknote online shop. In the second quarter of this year, the company's profit before tax increased by 7% to 2 million euros, while revenue increased by 52% to 12.3 million euros compared to the second quarter of last year. EBITDA of DelfinGroup increased to 4.3 million euros, an increase of 41% compared to Q2 2022.

Loans amounting to 21.8 million euros were issued in the second quarter of this year, an increase of 7% compared to Q2 of last year. With the increase in lending in 2023, the net loan portfolio has reached a record level of 78.1 million euros, already exceeding the strategic target set by DelfinGroup of a net loan portfolio of 77 million euros at the end of 2023.
