The largest Banknote XL store opens in Riga

announcements_img

With the aim of providing people with an even more comprehensive range of pre-owned and verified goods in one place, as well as motivating people to turn to the principles of the circular economy, the largest store of pre-owned goods, Banknote XL, has opened in Riga at Jūrmalas gatve 30, Imanta, with an area of 300 m2. The investments in the store exceed 50,000 euros, providing the opportunity to buy more than 4,500 new and pre-owned goods on-site, as well as to sell things that are no longer used in the household.

It is not only the largest circular economy store in Latvia but also in the Baltic states. As representatives of DelfinGroup-owned Banknote emphasise, a number of factors have now come together to encourage us to rethink our habits and look differently at pre-owned goods that are in excellent working order.

"DelfinGroup has been offering its customers simple and easy-to-understand financial services for many years and has a successful track record in the trade and circulation of pre-owned and new goods. We see that customers value quality goods tested by professionals, which is why we continue the strategic development of the Banknote brand. The creation of the larger Banknote XL is a logical next step. The Banknote network already has more than 90 branches across Latvia and an online shop with more than 45 000 goods in one place. We offer our customers goods that have been tested by our experts and that have a warranty for up to 2 years," explains Didzis Ādmīdiņš, chairman of the management board of DelfinGroup.

The newly opened Banknote XL store offers a wide selection of tested goods – affordable prices on jewellery, smartphones, home appliances, laptops, work tools, audio and video equipment, sports equipment, watches, home furnishings and other goods. These goods can be bought and sold on-site, freeing up space in your home and earning you extra money.

According to a survey*, 66% of people in Latvia keep things at home that have outlived their usefulness, thinking they will be used again, but after a while they continue to gather dust. "The circular economy is about making the most of the value of goods, and by putting them back into circulation we can also benefit financially. With the opening of Banknote XL, we are strengthening the idea of recycling as a sustainable alternative in society, while encouraging people to change the way they think about pre-owned goods, working together to reduce their carbon footprint," adds D. Ādmīdiņš.

*The survey was conducted in February 2023 by DelfinGroup in cooperation with the research agency Norstat Latvija. 1008 respondents from all over Latvia participated in the survey.
